ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 09: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ನ್ಯೂ ಮಂಡ್ಲಿಯ ಸಾಮಿಲ್ ವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 08 ರಂದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಅವಘಡದಲ್ಲಿ, ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಮರದ ತುಂಡುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಗಾಹುತಿಯಾದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ರೇಣುಕಾ ಸಾಮಿಲ್ ಅಂಡ್ ವುಡ್ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಮಿಸಿದ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳವು, ಸುಮಾರು 1 ಗಂಟೆಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ಸತತ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಂದಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಾಮಿಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 2 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ.ಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಮರದ ತುಂಡುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 3 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಮರದ ತುಂಡುಗಳು ಬೆಂಕಿಗಾಹುತಿಯಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಸಾಮಿಲ್ ಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವಿತರಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಘಟಕವಿದ್ದು, ಸದರಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಬೆಂಕಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುವ ಆತಂಕವಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಸಕಾಲಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಭವಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದ್ದ ಭಾರೀ ಅವಘಡವೊಂದು ತಪ್ಪಿದೆ.

Fire at Sawmill in Shivamogga – Timely Action by Fire Department Prevents Major Disaster!
Shivamogga, April 09: A sudden fire broke out at a sawmill in New Mandli, Shivamogga city, on April 08, causing wooden logs worth lakhs of rupees to be destroyed.
The incident occurred at Renuka Sawmill and Wood Industries. Upon receiving information, the fire department rushed to the spot and carried out continuous operations for more than an hour, successfully extinguishing the fire.
The sawmill contained wooden logs worth over ₹2 crore. Of these, logs worth around ₹3 lakh were gutted in the fire, according to reports.
Adjacent to the sawmill was an electricity distribution unit, which was at risk of catching fire. However, thanks to the timely intervention of the fire department, a major disaster was averted.
The firefighting operation was led by RFO Raju, DFO Ashok, FSO Maktum Hussain, LF Sunil, FD Satish, Sangamesh, Ramesh, Nagaraj, FM Venkatesh, Yerriswamy, Maruti, Yashwanth, Vijay, and Muhammad Hussain.
