ಸಾಗರ (sagara), ಜುಲೈ 09: ಗೋಡೌನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಜಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂಡಿಎಂಎ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಓರ್ವನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಾಗರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಅಕ್ಬರ್ ಬೇಗ್ (40) ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಗ್ಯಾರೇಜ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮನೆಯೊಂದರ ಮುಂಭಾಗದ ಗೋದಾಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿ ಗಾಂಜಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂಡಿಎಂಎ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾದ ಖಚಿತ ವರ್ತಮಾನದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆರೋಪಿಯಿಂದ 7500 ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 156 ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ ಗಾಂಜಾ, 25 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 10 ಗ್ರಾಂ 750 ಮಿಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ ಎಂಡಿಎಂಎ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರೋಪಿ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಎನ್’ಡಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು 09/07/2026 ರಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Sagar: Man arrested for selling ganja and MDMA in godown!
Sagar, July 09: An incident took place in Sagar town of Shivamogga district on the charge of selling ganja and MDMA in a godown.
The arrested accused has been identified as Akbar Baig (40). The accused was selling ganja and MDMA in a godown in front of a house on Krishna Garage Road.
The police conducted an operation based on the confirmed information received in this regard. The police seized 156 grams of ganja worth Rs. 7500 and 10 grams of MDMA worth Rs. 25 thousand from the accused.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of an inspector. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, the police department said in a statement issued on 09/07/2026.
