ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 07: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 24*7 ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹಲವು ದಶಕಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ 1 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ನ ಸುಸಜ್ಜಿತ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಾದ, ಆದರ್ಶ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಗೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ! ಇದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 30 ವರ್ಷವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹಲವು ದಶಕಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಸ್ಥಳಿಯಾಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸದ್ಯ ನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಮನೆಗಳಿವೆ.
‘ಆದರೆ ದಶಕಗಳೇ ಉರುಳಿದರೂ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಲವು ಬಾರಿ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ, ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ದೂರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ : ಮನೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೋರ್ವರು ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ತೆಗೆಸುವುದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕೆಲ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಅಂತರ್ಜಲ ಕುಸಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಬರುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೂ. ತೆತ್ತು ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ನೀರು ಖರೀದಿಸುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮಗಳ ಗೋಳು ಕೇಳುವವರೇ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನಂತ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಹೆಚ್ ಡಿ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದೆ. ವಾಲ್ವ್ ಗಳ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಇನ್ನಾದರೂ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಆದರ್ಶ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಗೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಾಗರೀಕರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗಾಗಿ ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದು ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸುವುದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪಾಲಿಕೆ, ಸೂಡಾ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಮನವಿಯೇನು?
*** ಆದರ್ಶ ನಗರದ ಹಲವು ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪದ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವೆಡೆ ದೀಪದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ತೀವ್ರ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ರಸ್ತೆ, ತಿರುವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಮಫಲಕಗಳ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆಯಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ವಿಳಾಸ ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪ, ಹೈಮಾಸ್ಟ್ ದೀಪಗಳ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ, ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ – ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಸೂಡಾ) ವು ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟದ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರ್ಶ ನಗರದ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಈ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Shivamogga : Drinking Water Supply Not Reaching Adarsha Nagar – Will the Water Board Pay Attention? | Report : B. Renukesh | Shivamogga, February 07: Under the 24×7 project, drinking water is being supplied within the limits of Shivamogga City Corporation. However, despite being a well-developed residential area in Ward No. 1, Adarsha Nagar has still not been provided drinking water by the Water Board administration! This has led to frustration among local residents. The locality was formed nearly 30 years ago and was handed over to the local administration decades ago. The area has been developing rapidly, and currently, there are more than a hundred houses. “But even though decades have passed, drinking water has still not been supplied here. Several times petitions have already been submitted to the Water Board and the City Corporation administration. The matter has been brought to the attention of officials, but nothing has come of it,” complain the residents.
What are the residents’ appeals to the Corporation and SUDA administration?
- In several main roads of Adarsha Nagar, the streetlight system is in disarray. In some places, there are no streetlights at all. This has caused severe inconvenience for residents moving around at night.
- Likewise, there are no name boards at the roads and junctions of the locality. This makes it difficult for visitors from outside to locate addresses.
- Parks lack basic facilities.
In this regard, residents urge the Corporation administration to take steps to install streetlights and high-mast lights in the locality, and to develop infrastructure in the parks. Currently, the Shivamogga–Bhadravati Urban Development Authority (SUDA) is developing parks in various parts of the city by installing children’s play equipment and exercise tools. Residents request that similar facilities be provided in the parks of Adarsha Nagar as well.
