ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್, 08: ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಉಚಿತ ಪಾಸ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಕೆಗಳು ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕ ಎಸ್ ಎನ್ ಚನ್ನಬಸಪ್ಪ (ಚೆನ್ನಿ) ಅವರು ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಾಸ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಅವರು ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್ ಯು ಟಿ ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶಾಸಕರು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪತ್ರದ ವಿವರ ಈ ಮುಂದಿನಂತಿದೆ.
ಪಾಸ್ ಬೇಡ : ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ನಡೆದ ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ನಡೆದ ದುರಂತದಲ್ಲಿ, 11 ಜನ ಅಮಾಯಕರು ಪ್ರಾಣ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಘಟನೆಯ ಆಕ್ರಂದನ ಇಂದಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ದನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆ ನೋವಿನ ನಡುವೆ ನಾವು ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ಗಾಗಿ ಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಜನರ ದೃಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಕನಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅಥವಾ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ಸಿ.ಎ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಶಾಸಕರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವ ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಾಸ್ ಅಥವಾ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಸವಿನಯವಾಗಿ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನೆ.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಮುಂಬರುವ ಐಪಿಎಲ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಅಥವಾ ಪಾಸ್ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಶಾಸಕ ಚನ್ನಬಸಪ್ಪರವರು ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್ ಗೆ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga City MLA Channi Rejects IPL Cricket Match Passes!
Shivamogga, April 08: Free passes are being distributed to legislators to watch IPL cricket matches, which has drawn criticism from the public. Amidst this, Shivamogga City MLA S.N. Channabasappa (popularly known as Channi) has attracted attention by refusing the cricket passes.
In this regard, he wrote a letter to Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader. The details of the letter are as follows:
No Passes Needed: During last year’s IPL celebrations, a tragic incident claimed the lives of 11 innocent people. The cries of that tragedy still echo in my ears. In the midst of such grief, if we insist on IPL tickets in the Assembly, it will only diminish us further in the eyes of the people.
Considering all this, and in accordance with my conscience, I respectfully decline any IPL match passes or tickets offered by the government or KSCA.
Therefore, I request that no tickets or passes be issued in my name for the upcoming IPL matches, as stated in the letter written by MLA Channabasappa to the Speaker.
