ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 6: ಕುವೆಂಪು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೇಲುಗೈ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು:
ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್ ಹೆಚ್. ಎಂ. (ಎಂ.ಎ. ಕನ್ನಡ): ಒಟ್ಟು 10 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಹಾಗೂ 2 ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಇಡೀ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಕ್ಷಾ (ಎಂ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ. ಪರಿಸರ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ): ಇವರು 7 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೃಷ್ಠಿ ಆರ್. (ಎಂ.ಎಸ್ಸಿ. ಜೈವಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ): ಇವರು 6 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಹನಾ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಶೇಟ್ (ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಎ): ಇವರು 5 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಹಾಗೂ 1 ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಜನ ಎಸ್. ಇವರಲ್ಲದೆ, ಗಣಿತಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ಎಲ್. ಅವರು 4 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಮತ್ತು 2 ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರೆ, ಇತರ 12ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಲಾ 3 ರಿಂದ 4 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಡಿಗೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್ಡಿ ಪದವಿ: ಒಟ್ಟು 163 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಿ.ಹೆಚ್ಡಿ ಪದವಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ 106 ಪುರುಷರು ಹಾಗೂ 57 ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ನಿಕಾಯ: 84 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು (ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು). ಕಲಾ ನಿಕಾಯ: 63 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿಕಾಯ: 09 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು. ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ನಿಕಾಯ: 06 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು. ಕಾನೂನು ನಿಕಾಯ: 01 ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿರುವುದು ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಾಧಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Kuvempu University Convocation: Female students bag gold medals!
Shivamogga, May 6: Students at the Kuvempu University Convocation attracted attention through their academic achievements. In this year’s convocation, female students in particular excelled by bagging the most gold medals.
The students who scored the highest marks in various departments of the university were honored with gold medals and cash prizes. Prominent among them are:
Abhishek H. M. (M.A. Kannada): Won the first position for the entire university by winning a total of 10 gold medals and 2 cash prizes.
Raksha (M.Sc. Environmental Science): Won 7 gold medals.
Srishti R. (M.Sc. Biotechnology): Won 6 gold medals.
Sahana Ganesh Shet (M.B.A.): Won 5 gold medals and 1 cash prize.
Sajana S. (M.A. Sociology): He has received 5 gold medals.
Apart from these, Abhilash L. from the Mathematics Department has received 4 gold medals and 2 cash prizes, while more than 12 other students have bagged 3 to 4 gold medals each.
Convocation Statistics:
Total Graduates: A total of 16,955 students are eligible to receive degrees in this convocation. This includes 7,015 males and 9,940 females.
Details of Gold Medals: A total of 155 gold medals have been distributed, out of which 68 female students and 11 students have shared medals.
Ph.D. Degree: A total of 163 candidates are eligible for Ph.D. degree, out of which 106 are males and 57 are females.
Vigyan Nikaya: 84 candidates (highest). Kala Nikaya: 63 candidates. Shiksha Nikaya: 09 candidates. Commerce College: 06 candidates. Law College: 01 candidate.
Overall, the excellent academic performance of women in this year’s convocation stands out. The University Vice Chancellor and guests congratulated the meritorious students.
