ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 14 : ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಿಂದ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಹಂಗಾಮಿನ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲದಂಡ ಮತ್ತು ಎಡದಂಡೆ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇ17 ರವರೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮೇ 17 ರ ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಭದ್ರಾ ಯೋಜನಾ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಶೇಖರಣೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹರಿಸಲು ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಲಭ್ಯತೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟು ಭಾಗದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೈತರುಗಳು ಇಲಾಖೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿದೆ.
Summer season water release to Bhadra dam canals to be stopped from midnight of May 17!
Shivamogga, May 13: Additional water is being released from Bhadra reservoir to the right bank and left bank canals for summer season crops till May 17, and it will be stopped from midnight of May 17, the member secretaries of the Bhadra Project Irrigation Advisory Committee have said in a statement.
Only drinking water storage is left in Bhadra reservoir, and there will be no water availability in the reservoir to release additional water to crops. All the farmers of Achukattu area have been requested to cooperate with the department.
