ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 14: ಮಹಿಳೆಯೋರ್ವರ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಐವರಿಗೆ 3 ವರ್ಷ ಕಠಿಣ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿಯ 4 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಸಂಕ್ಲಿಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಮೋಹನ್ ಆರ್ (33), ಇವರ ತಾಯಿ ಸರೋಜಮ್ಮ (60), ತಂದೆ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ (66), ಸಹೋದರ ಶೇಖರ್ (44) ಹಾಗೂ ಮೂರ್ತಿ (41) ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ 1.50 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡವನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ವಿಧಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮೃತ ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ 1 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಮೈಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಚೆಟ್ಟಿಯಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಪ್ರೇಮಾ ಎಂಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಮೃತರಾದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರೇಮಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯವರು ದೈಹಿಕ – ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತವರು ಮನೆಗೆ ವಾಪಾಸ್ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಇದರಿಂದ ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡ ಪ್ರೇಮಾರವರು 26-03-2017 ರಂದು ವಿಷ ಸೇವನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, 07/04/2017 ರಂದು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗದೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪೊಲೀಸರು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Bhadravati: Three years rigorous imprisonment for five members of one family!
Bhadravati, February 14: In connection with a woman’s suicide case, the 4th Additional District and Sessions Court in Bhadravati has sentenced four members of the same family to three years of rigorous imprisonment.
The convicted individuals are Mohan R (33), his mother Sarojamma (60), father Rangappa (66), brother Shekhar (44), and Murthy (41), all residents of Sanklipura village in Bhadravati taluk.
Along with the jail sentence, the court has imposed a fine of ₹1.50 lakh, out of which ₹1 lakh is to be given as compensation to the deceased woman’s family.
The judgment was delivered by Judge Indira Mailaswamy Chettiar. Government prosecutor Ratnamma P argued the case on behalf of the state.
Case background: After her marriage, the deceased Prema was subjected to physical and mental harassment by her husband and his family. She was even sent back to her parental home.
Upset by this, on 26-03-2017, Prema consumed poison. Despite treatment, she passed away on 07-04-2017. A case was registered at Bhadravati Rural Police Station, and the police later filed a chargesheet in court.
