ಹೊಸನಗರ (ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 09: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹುಲಿಕಲ್ ಘಾಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಘನಘೋರ ದುರಂತವೊಂದು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 9 ರ ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣ್ಣು ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದು ಮೂವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ದಾರುಣ ಘಟನೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.
ಮೃತರನ್ನು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ, ರಾಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಬ್ಬೀರ್ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಮಣ್ಣಿನಡಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅದಿಕೃತ ವಿವರಗಳು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಭರದಿಂದ ಸಾಗಿವೆ.
ಏನಾಯ್ತು? : ಹುಲಿಕಲ್ ಘಾಟಿಯ ಚಂಡಿಕಾಂಬಾ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಹೇರ್ಪಿನ್ ತಿರುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸದರಿ ಅವಘಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಹೇರ್ಪಿನ್ ತಿರುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಣ್ಣು ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಮಣ್ಣು ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Major Tragedy near Hulikal Ghat: Landslide during Retaining Wall Work Claims Three Workers’ Lives
Hosnagar (Shivamogga), April 09: A horrific accident occurred on the evening of April 9 during retaining wall construction on the Hulikal Ghat road in Hosnagar taluk, Shivamogga district. Soil collapsed at the work site, leading to the tragic death of three workers.
The deceased have been identified as Raghavendra, Raju, and Shabbir. Two other workers were seriously injured and have been admitted to hospital. Reports suggest that some workers may still be trapped under the debris. Official details are awaited, while rescue operations are underway at the site.
What happened? The accident occurred near the hairpin bend close to Chandikamba Temple on Hulikal Ghat. Continuous soil erosion had been reported at this bend, and repair work was being carried out. During the work, soil suddenly gave way, causing the tragedy.
