ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shimoga), ಜೂನ್ 03: ರೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಂಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಟಿಟಿಇ ಎಂದು ನಕಲಿ ಪರಿಚಯ ನೀಡಿ, ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಂದ ಹಣ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿ, ಕಾನೂನು ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ (GRP) ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಡೆಪ್ಯುಟಿ ಸಿಟಿಐ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೋರ್ವರು 01.06.2026 ರಂದು ರೈಲು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 12089 ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು–ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಟೌನ್ ಜನಶತಾಬ್ದಿ ಎಕ್ಸ್ಪ್ರೆಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ದಾಟಿದ ನಂತರ ಸಿ-1 ಕೋಚ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ತಾನು ಟಿಟಿಇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ವೇಳೆ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಕಲಿ ಗುರುತಿನ ಚೀಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ವೇಳೆ ಆತ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ರಕೀಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಎಂ.ಕೆ. (26), ತಂದೆ ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನೌಕರನಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಟಿಟಿಇ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಬಹಿರಂಗಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರಿಂದ ಹಣ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಟಿಟಿಇ ವೇಷಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ರೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಬಳಿಕ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಟಿಟಿಇ ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ಆರ್ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ/ಜಿಆರ್ಪಿ/ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾಜರುಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಜಿಆರ್ಪಿ ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Fake TTE caught on Bengaluru-Shivamogga train!
Shivamogga, June 03: A person who tried to collect money from passengers by giving a fake identity as TTE in order to commit fraud on the train has been identified and handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) officials for legal action.
A Deputy CTI officer of the Railway Department was on ticket checking duty on train number 12089 KSR Bengaluru-Shivamogga Town Jan Shatabdi Express on 01.06.2026. At this time, after crossing Arsikere station, it was noticed that a person in C-1 coach claimed to be a TTE. During verification, he showed a fake identity card on his mobile.
During interrogation, he told that his name is Rakibuddin M.K. (26), father is Qutubuddin, a resident of Shivamogga district. Further interrogation revealed that he is not a railway employee and not a TTE.
He admitted that he was travelling in the train as a TTE with the intention of collecting money from the passengers. Later, the TTE on duty produced the accused before the RPSI/GRP/Arasikere, who registered a case at the GRP Arasikere station and initiated an investigation.
