ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 02: ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಹಂಗಾಮಿನ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಡ್ಯಾಂನಿಂದ ನೀರು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡದಿರಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಜುಲೈ 02 ರಂದು ಭದ್ರಾ ಯೋಜನಾ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿವರ ಮುಂದಿನಂತಿದೆ : ‘ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟುದಾರರಿಗೆ ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಭದ್ರಾ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮಳೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಆದಕಾರಣ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಹಂಗಾಮಿನ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲದಂಡೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಡದಂಡೆ ನಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಮತ್ತು ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿರುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಳಸಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟು ಭಾಗದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೈತರು ಇಲಾಖೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೋರಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮುಂಬರುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಜಲಾಶಯ ಭರ್ತಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸಭೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತು ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಭದ್ರಾ ಯೋಜನಾ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Rain Shortage: No Water Release from Bhadra Dam for Monsoon Crops | Shimoga, July 02: Due to insufficient monsoon rainfall, water storage levels in the Bhadra reservoir have drastically declined. In this situation, it has been decided not to release water from the dam for the current monsoon season crops.
According to a press release issued on July 02 by the Member Secretary of the Bhadra Project Irrigation Advisory Committee: “Farmers within the Bhadra command area are hereby informed that, owing to the shortage of rainfall, adequate water has not been stored in the reservoir. Therefore, it is not possible to release water into the right and left bank canals for monsoon crops. As per government orders, the limited water available in the reservoir will be reserved only for drinking purposes. Farmers in the command area are requested to cooperate with the department.”
The release further stated that if sufficient rainfall occurs in the coming days and the reservoir fills up, an Irrigation Advisory Committee meeting will be convened to decide on releasing water for crops.
