ಸಾಗರ (sagara), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 26: ಸಾಗರ ನಗರದ ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್’ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರೋರ್ವರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಸರ ಕಳವು ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯೋರ್ವರನ್ನು ಸಾಗರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹುಣಸೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕೆಹೆಚ್’ಬಿ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಸುಮಿತ್ರ (43) ಬಂಧಿತ ಆಪಾದಿತೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. 12 ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ 1.20 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಕಳವು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಸರವನ್ನು ಆಪಾದಿತೆಯಿಂದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಬೆನಕಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಎನ್ ಜೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಪುಲ್ಲಯ್ಯ ರಾಥೋಡ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ ಶಾಂತರಾಜ್ ಜೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಮಎಎಸ್ಐ ಮೀರಾಬಾಯಿ, ಹೆಚ್.ಸಿ ಸನಾವುಲ್ಲ, ಹೆಚ್.ಸಿ ಫೈರೋಜ್, ಪಿಸಿಗಳಾದ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ, ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಲೋಕೇಶ್ ರವರು ಆಪಾದಿತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಜಯಮ್ಮ ಎಂಬುವರು ಮಾರಿಕಾಂಬ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಸಾಗರದ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ, 06/02/2026 ರಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲು ಸಾಗರದ ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್’ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಬಸ್ ಹತ್ತುವ ವೇಳೆ ಅವರ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 12 ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಚೈನ್ ಸರ ಕಳುವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸಾಗರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Gold chain theft at Sagar bus stand: Woman arrested from Mysore district!
Sagar, April 26: A woman was arrested by the Sagar town police station in connection with the case of gold chain theft from a female passenger at the KSRTC bus stand in Sagar city.
The arrested accused has been identified as Sumitra (43), a resident of KHB Colony in Hunsur taluk, Mysore district. The police have seized the stolen gold chain weighing 12 grams and worth Rs. 1.20 lakh from the accused.
Under the guidance of Assistant Superintendent of Police Dr. Benakaprasad N J, PSI Shantaraj J H and staff members ASI Mirabai, H.C Sanawulla, H.C Fairoz, PCs Vishwanath, Krishnamurthy, Lokesh have succeeded in arresting the accused.
Background of the case: Jayamma had arrived at the KSRTC bus stand in Sagar to return to her hometown on 06/02/2026 after visiting her relatives’ house in Sagar for the Marikamba fair.
While boarding the bus, a gold chain weighing 12 grams from her bag was stolen. A case was registered in this regard at the Sagar Town Police Station.
