ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 13: ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಕಳೆದೊಂದು ವಾರದಿಂದ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಹಾಹಾಕಾರ ಎದುರಾಗಿದೆ. ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ, ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ..!
ಇದು ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದರೂ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ…! ನಗರದ ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವ ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ ಕಳೆದೊಂದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗೆ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯ ಬೃಹತ್ ಪೈಪ್ ಒಡೆದು ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯಂತೆ, ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳ ನಾಯಕರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪೈಪ್ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ!
ಇದೆಲ್ಲದರ ನಡುವೆ, ಸದರಿ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪೈಪ್ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಲೀಟರ್ ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೇಳುವವರು ಕೇಳುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ದೂರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಕೊಳಚೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯಾದ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ : ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇರುವ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗದೆ. ವಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಥ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟಿಕೆ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಆದರೆ ಪೈಪ್ ನಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕೊಳಚೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯಂತಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ವಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಥ್, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟಿಕೆ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಳಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬರು ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಡೀ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಪಾಳು ಬೀಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವೇಕೆ? : ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನ ಪೈಪ್ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಗಮನಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ವರ್ಷ ಕಳೆದರೂ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸದೆ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ? ಎಂಬುವುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕ ಚನ್ನಬಸಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಚಿತ್ತ ಹರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಪೈಪ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೂ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತದಿಂದಲೇ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

On the other hand, a huge amount of drinking water is flowing in vain..!
This is strange but true…! A huge pipe supplying water to the tank has been broken for exactly one year near the overhead tank near Devaraja Arasu Layout in the city. A huge amount of water is flowing in vain.
Earlier, as requested by local citizens, leaders of various political parties visited the spot and inspected it. They have instructed the Water Board administration to repair the pipe. But the Water Board administration has not taken any action in this regard!
In the midst of all this, another pipe recently broke in the said tank premises and water is flowing. Due to this, lakhs of liters of water are flowing in vain. Local residents complain that there is no one to listen to them.
Park turned into a cesspool: The park with an overhead tank has been developed at a cost of lakhs of rupees. Children’s toys, including a walking path, have been installed. Earlier, citizens used to visit the park every day.
But the entire park has become a cesspool due to the water flowing from the pipe. The walking path and children’s toys are getting damaged in the water. Due to this, no one is visiting the park. Residents express their anger that the entire park has started falling into disrepair.
Why the negligence?: The issue of the overhead tank pipe bursting and water being wasted is in the attention of the water board administration. But even after a year, why is the pipeline being neglected and not repaired? It is not known.
Shivamogga Urban MLA Channabasappa needs to take action on this. The pipe should be repaired within the time limit and the drinking water flowing in vain should be curbed. Residents have also demanded that the water board administration itself take action to rectify the park mess.
