ಸೊರಬ (soraba), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 16: ವರದಾ ನದಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಜೀವ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದ ತಾಯಿ – ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಯುವಕರ ತಂಡವೊಂದು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಸೊರಬ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಚಂದ್ರಗುತ್ತಿ ಸಮೀಪ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಸಾಹಿಲ್, ಸೋನು, ಯಾಸಿನ್ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಾಕೊಪ್ಪ ಆಪತ್ಬಾಂಧವ ಯುವಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸದರಿ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಸೊರಬ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಅಭಿನಂದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಏನೀದು ಘಟನೆ? : ಕೌಟಂಬಿಕ ಕಲಹದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೋರ್ವರು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚಂದ್ರಗುತ್ತಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ವರದಾ ನದಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ, ಪ್ರಾಣ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಮಗಳನ್ನು ನದಿಗೆ ತಳ್ಳುವ ವೇಳೆ, ಮಗಳು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸದರಿ ಯುವಕರು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ದೌಡಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಾಯಿ – ಮಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

The rescuers — Sahil, Sonu, and Yaseen from Chikkamakoppa — acted swiftly and courageously. The Soraba Police Station honored and felicitated these youths for their timely intervention.
What happened? Due to family disputes, a woman decided to end her life along with her daughter by jumping into the Varada River near Chandragutti. As the mother tried to push her daughter into the river, the girl screamed for help. At that moment, the youths who were fishing nearby rushed to the spot and rescued both the mother and daughter.
The police department, in its press release, confirmed the incident and praised the bravery of the young men.
